Location
The villa is located on a quiet one-way street, lined with a wide footpath and cycle path. The charming town of Pallanza with its characteristic churches, small stores, cozy restaurants and the Villa Giulia park is within walking distance. Just a few minutes away is the larger town of Intra with elegant boutiques and a variety of restaurants and cafés. The botanical gardens of the famous Villa Taranto are also nearby.
Pallanza offers a beautiful promenade and a variety of cafés and restaurants in Piazza Garibaldi. There are numerous charming stores in the winding alleyways behind it. This area is home to some of the most magnificent villas, palaces, gardens and parks built by aristocrats in the 19th century. The ferry from Pallanza takes you quickly to Laveno, Stresa and the Borromean Islands.
Lake Maggiore is not only known for its deep blue waters, but also for its rich natural landscape with various islands, ancient towns and several nature parks and mountains that even allow skiing. From Pallanza you have access to the Val Grande, one of the largest unspoiled natural areas in Italy with almost 12,000 hectares, ideal for long hikes. Other beautiful areas nearby are the Fondotoce nature reserve, the Valle Antrona and the Valle d’Ossola. Less than 50 km away are the majestic 4000-metre peaks of the Monte Rosa massif, including the Mottarone and San Domenico, ideal for day trips for hiking or winter sports.
For shopping and sightseeing, there are excursions to Milan (100 km) with its magnificent cathedral or to Turin (150 km) with its numerous palaces and churches. If you prefer to explore the surrounding area, Arona, Cannobio or Intra are definitely worth a visit.

By car: from the A26 exit for Verbania. Continue along the SS34 to reach Pallanza.
By train: the nearest station is Verbania Pallanza. From here you can get a bus to Pallanza.
By plane: the nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, located on about a 45 minute drive to Pallanza.
