The villa is located in a quiet one way street with a wide foot and cycle path. Close by, and within walking distance, you will find the small, romantic town Pallanza, with its characteristic churches, small shops, plenty of nice restaurants and the park of Villa Giulia. A few minutes further the larger town of Intra offers a lot of nice shops, boutiques and restaurants, terraces and the botanical gardens of the famous Villa Taranto.
The historic centre of Pallanza is criss-crossed by ancient streets and squares lined with fine, elegant period buildings with ornamental doorways, porticoes, and columns. Pallanza’s lakefront is one of the finest on Lake Maggiore; a walk along its promenade with the lake and the Borromean Islands on one side and colourful facades, porticoes, flowered balconies, terraces and cafés on the other is a highly agreeable experience. Bustling with visitors throughout the day and well into the evening, this is the main meeting place of the town.
Also in winter a wonderful stay
Lake Maggiore with its beautiful blue water also offers plenty of variation in the surrounding region, from nature parks, mountains, gardens, islands, flowers and so much more … even skiing!
